Bakshi certainly didn't try to divert far from the adaptation and put a lot of restraint on his own embellishments to produce this special. It certainly feels like a Seuss cartoon much in the way I felt the specials made by DePatie-Freleng in the 70's were (the Chuck Jones ones from the 60's otherwise often had clashes between him and Geisel).Chris Sobieniakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09838106041175506925noreply@blogger.com
